RETECA Foundation - ISEA
The aim of the RETECA Foundation is to help and support young researchers from developing countries engaged in post-education or research activities in the field of electrical engineering or applied electrical engineering.
By committing to return to their home country at the end of the internship period, the scholarship recipient will transfer the knowledge acquired in training and applied research at local universities or industries, thus contributing to the creation of local jobs.

SUPSI Image Focus
The RETECA Foundation, in cooperation with SUPSI, annually offers 3-4 scholarships that cover the costs of transport to and from Switzerland, board and lodging in the area of SUPSI, generally for a duration of 12 months.
At the end of the stay, the student must provide:
- technical reports about the work carried out.
- A letter evaluating the experience and the impact it may have on future activities.
To apply, you must
- be from and live in a developing country (preferably Latin America)
- have obtained a diploma or certificate from a university institution in their country of origin of at least three years' duration in the field of electrical engineering or a related field (alternatively, they must be able to certify that they have passed examinations or tests of electrical engineering courses corresponding to at least 180 ECTS)
- return, at the end of the internship, to their home country to ensure a transfer of know-how in accordance with the purpose of the foundation.
SUPSI is designated as the accreditation body for the recognition of these diplomas and licences and the certification of the tests and examinations of students who have not completed their studies.

Applicants must submit the following documents via their university contact person:
- Certificate of knowledge of English
- Curriculum vitae (only CVs in European format in English will be accepted)
- Official academic diploma (in Spanish)
- Official list of academic courses, subjects and grades (in Spanish)
- Letter of recommendation from the head of the university that granted the diploma or degree (in English)
- Letter of motivation and desired/planned field of activity (in English)

Applications must be submitted, complete with all required documentation, through the online form available in the official call for applications, by January 31st of each year.
